ABOUT Bobbie Franklin

Bobbie Dawn Franklin
Bobbie was born Nov. 7, 1977, in Rock Springs, Wyo., the daughter of Robert
Charles and Darline (Combs) Franklin. She passed away Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2008, at
Southwest Memorial Hospital at the age of 30.
Bobbie grew up and attended schools in the Cortez area. She was attending Pueblo
Community College. Bobbie had aspirations of becoming a teacher in hopes that
she could make a difference in the life of a child with a learning disability.
Her last semester in college, Bobbie attained a 4.0 grade point average. She
devoted 13 years of service to City Market grocery store, where she was a
department manager. Bobbie had a zest for life. Her enormous smile could make
anything better. She loved having a good time and collecting butterflies and
unicorns. Bobbie always put others first. "You go girl" was a phrase Bobbie said
often to her daughter; she lived by that quote.
Surviving Bobbie are her mother, Darline Combs of Rawlins, Wyo.; her father,
Robert Franklin of Riverton, Wyo.; her daughter, Krista Jaylene Hager of Cortez;
and her former husband, Mathew Hager of Cortez. She also leaves behind her
sisters, Melissa Derr and husband Tom of Rawlins, Wyo., Loni Franklin of
Riverton, Wyo., and Lavina Copeland of Roosevelt, Utah; her grandmother, Nora
Combs of Cortez; her surrogate parents, Brad and Loretta Combs of Cortez; her

Bank to assist her daughter, Krista.
